In 1948, Jeanne Toussaint, Cartier's artistic director, imagined a proud and powerful three-dimensional panther on an emerald brooch that would become one of the most evocative jewels of the 20th century.
In 2014, Mathilde Laurent drew inspiration from this heritage to create La Panthère, a chypre fragrance that evokes Jeanne Toussaint. She imagined a sensual and controlled fragrance, with a bold floral-feline accord. Gardenia, the emblematic flower of Jeanne Toussaint's era, illuminates this daring composition, uniting the emblem of the Maison with the myth of the perfumed panther.
